Abbott Laboratories Donates to Clinical Laboratory Science

Abbott Laboratories has awarded Mr. Dave Falleur and the Program of Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) a hematology analyzer as part of the Labs Are Vital Equipment Donation Program. The instrument, a Cell-Dyn 3200 hematology analyzer, will be used in teaching hematology and clinical microscopy in the CLS Program. Texas State was one of six Clinical Laboratory Programs in the nation to receive one of these equipment grants. Abbott will provide training, reagents, supplies, and any repairs at no charge to the University. The instrument donation grant program is part of the Labs Are Vital initiative of Abbott Laboratories. This awareness initiative is designed to highlight the critical role that laboratory professionals play in healthcare and to address the issues facing laboratories today.
