The Department of Health Informatics & Information Management offers both on-campus and online bachelor's degrees and fully online master's degrees. Our degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
Admissions Information
BSHIM Admission
Applications submitted will be considered for the next entering class.
HIM Majors must apply to the program and follow the guidance of an HIM Department advisor. Most HIM Majors begin the professional program in the fall semester due to the required course sequence.
Advising
Early academic advisement though the College of Health Professions Advising Center is encouraged to determine eligibility and receive guidance on your program of interest.
BSHIM Requirements
• Minimum GPA of 2.50
• Majority of the Core and other prerequisite coursework completed.
• University application process completed
• Online HIM application form completed.
MHIM Requirements
• Minimum GPA of 2.75 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work (plus any completed graduate courses)
• No GMAT/GRE required
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university
