Dr. Allen Herkimer
Dr. Allen G. Herkimer
was a professor of health administration at Texas State University from 1986 until his retirement in 1996. Born and reared in the Mohawk Valley, New York, area, Gil Herkimer (Allen G. Herkimer, Jr.) traveled extensively throughout the United States and overseas as a corporate executive, university professor, and textbook author. He returned in his retirement years to his first two loves: studying history and playing jazz. Herkimer and his wife, Fay, proudly declared themselves to be native New Yorkers who lived in Southern California for nearly twenty years. They lived in South Texas for many years.
