  • Students can apply for both programs simultaneously in the Fall OR apply for either program no less than one semester apart from one another. 
  • MHA applications are Fall only, and MBA Flex applications are Fall or Spring.

Admission Requirements for the MHA Program

    • Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university. (Non-U.S. degrees must be equivalent to a four-year U.S. Bachelor’s degree. In most cases, three-year degrees are not considered. Visit our International FAQs for more information.)
    • A copy of an official transcript from each institution where course credit was granted.
    • A 2.75 overall GPA or a 2.75 GPA in your last 60 hours of undergraduate course work (plus any completed graduate courses).

    Official transcripts, sent directly from your institution, will be required if admission is granted.

    Approved English Proficiency Exam Scores

    Applicants are required to submit an approved English proficiency exam score that meets the minimum program requirements below unless they have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or the equivalent from a country on our exempt countries list.

    • official TOEFL iBT scores required with a 85 overall
    • official PTE scores required with a 57 overall
    • official IELTS (academic) scores required with a 6.5 overall and minimum individual module scores of 6.0
    • official Duolingo scores required with a 115 overall
    • official TOEFL Essentials scores with a 9.5 overall

    This program does not offer admission if the scores above are not met.

    • Resume/CV including relevant experience (volunteer, research, employment, and other). 
    • Statement of purpose indicating your ability and interest in completing the degree program in healthcare administration.
    • Two signed letters of recommendation from professionals or academics competent to assess your interest in pursuing a career in healthcare administration.
    • Interview with the graduate advisor, assessing your commitment to completing the program.

  • GRE/GMAT for In-Person Program Applicants

    • Official GRE/GMAT (general test only) test scores are not required for applicants with an overall 3.5 GPA or a 3.5 GPA in your last-60-hours of undergraduate course work. If your GPA falls below the minimum requirement, the official GRE/GMAT (general test only) with competitive scores will be required in order to be considered. Graduate Admissions will notify applicants via email should this occur.

    • resume/CV detailing your work experience, extracurricular and community activities, and honors and achievements
    • two letters of recommendation from persons best able to assess your ability to succeed in graduate school

    Accelerated Online Program Applicants

  • Admission to all graduate business degree programs is competitive and designed to identify those who have the ability, interest, and maturity to manage the rigors of the programs as well as potential for future professional growth; therefore, the admissions committee will carefully consider all aspects of your professional and academic background. The admissions committee will also closely review the qualitative elements of your application, such as letters of recommendation, quality of written essays, relevant work experience, extracurricular and community activities, honors, and achievements.
