Step 1: Activate your NetID and Texas State email (BobcatMail)

Activate your NetID

  • The IT Assistance Center (ITAC) assigns a unique NetID to all Texas State students. 
  • You will use your NetID to access university systems, such as the registration system, BobcatMail, and others. 
  • Instructions on how to activate your NetID can be found on the ITAC website. 

Access your BobcatMail

  • Official email communication will be sent to you through BobcatMail. Requests from other email accounts will not be answered, due to potential FERPA violations. 
  • You can access BobcatMail on the ITAC Email Support page. You can also explore available guides, such as adding BobcatMail to your mobile devices and accessing BobcatMail via Microsoft 365.
